The Family Navigator at Smart Moves Academy is the primary support and communicator for all families with students enrolling and attending the school. The Family Navigator is responsible for assuring a personalized, meaningful, and successful experience for each of our families. Operationally speaking, this person in this role will ensure from first contact, families understand our approach in order to make good matches between our program and our students. During our students’ tenure, the Family Navigator will assist with community resource matching if needed, state scholarship annual processes if applicable to the family, individualized communication between parents and the school. This person will be responsible for community partnerships as related to our beyond the school walls experiences.

Classroom teachers at Smart Moves Academy are fierce leaders of our movement-based educational model. With the support of our Movement Specialist and other school leadership, they spearhead the design of our fully inclusive classrooms that promote accelerated learning, social-emotional development, and holistic wellness by strategic integration of movement throughout the day. Teachers must be adept at teaching the range of subject areas, strong experience with literacy and mathematics instruction in a project based environment is critical.
